1990:Launch of the manufacture of a proprietary modular furniture system featuring polished brass glass and mirror components of the kind used in luxury boutiques in downtown Prague.
1992:The number of employees grows to 28. Clients recruit from the ranks of successful entrepreneurs who seek custom, high-quality residential interior designs. Expansion in the private segment is launched. The first design studio is opened on Žitná Street in Prague 2.
1997:The first Miele Center in Central and Eastern Europe is opened in the brand-new Praha City Center on Klimentská Street in downtown Prague, where the Stopka has had its head office ever since.
2000:Miroslav Stopka joins the company as CEO, marking the beginning of a prosperous family business that gradually assumes the exclusive representation of the world's most prominent furniture manufacturers.
2002:Widespread floods wreak damage throughout the country, completely destroying the Klimentská Street showroom. The showroom reopens 16 weeks later, following comprehensive renovation and expansion.
2008:The firm opens a design showroom in Bratislava to enter the Slovak market.
2010:Our outlet and logistics center opens in Roztoky near Prague. The showroom on Klimentská Street in the city is enlarged. The new space features the top Italian brands Poliform and Minotti, for which we have been the exclusive distributor since 2012.
2016:The first becomes the exclusive distributor of other prominent brands – Poliform, one of the most renowned furniture manufacturer, and Rimadesio, a company known for its exclusive designs of doors and closets featuring metal and glass.
2019:The Klimentská showroom undergoes major renovation with a view to presenting the world's current design trends.
